Fun Fact: The hagfish, the most primitive fish in the ocean, is a jawless, boneless fish commonly called a slime eel. They produce copious amounts of mucus embedded with long fibrous threads for protection, to detract other animals from feeding on their prey and possibly to capture live prey.
