Santa Cruz Island: Prisoners Harbor
Our focus will be to find and photograph the endemic Island Scrub Jay and experience Santa Cruz Island in full bloom. This trip leaves from Ventura harbor.
Fee: $70 ($61 Friends Members)
Anacapa Island
Our focus will be to photograph the thousands of nesting Western Gulls and their chicks amidst the natural beauty of Anacapa Island. CMA's photographer will be available for a wildlife photography workshop. This trip leaves from Oxnard Harbor.
Fee: $70 ($61 Friends Members). Open to hikers 13+; anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Santa Rosa Island
Journey with CMA's Education staff on an adventure to Santa Rosa Island, part of the Channel Islands National Park Marine Sanctuary. Leaving from Ventura, we'll keep an eye out for birds, pinnipeds, dolphins and whales as we make our way to and from the island. On the island, participants will join a naturalist-led hike to a small forest with one of the rarest pines in the world - the Torrey Pine. During this quick-paced 7-mile round trip hike, we will learn about past human occupation and observe the diverse coastal habitats, amazing geologic formations and panoramic views.
Fee: $90 ($81 Friends Members). Open to hikers 13+; anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
