Habitat: Rocky shore; low to mid-intertidal zones
Diet: Small fish, crab, urchins and detached mussels
Size: 7 in (17.5 cm) in diameter
Fun Fact: The bright green color is due to single-celled algae living in their tissues. In this mutualistic symbiotic relationship, the anemone gains extra nourishment from the algae via photosynthesis, while the algae gain a safe, protected place to live.
