Range: Santa Barbara County to northwestern Baja California
Habitat: Coastal side of mountains and openings of chaparral
Diet: Photosynthesis
Size: 1.6- 5 ft (49 cm - 1.5 m) tall
Fun Fact: During the dry season, this shrub goes into dormancy appearing to be dry and dead; however after the rainy season, their bright yellow flowers pop right up!
