Range: Oregon to Matazlan, Mexico
Habitat: Bays and estuaries in both sandy bottoms and nearshore kelp forests
Diet: Smaller sharks feed mostly on crabs while larger sharks eat mostly fishes.
Size: 4-7 ft (1.2-2.1 m)
Fun Fact: This species of shark gives live birth and can have anywhere from 7-36 pups at a time.
