Scientific Name: Paralichthys californicus
Range: Quillayute River, northern Washington to southern Baja California
Habitat: Shallow, soft-bottom habitats
Diet: Anchovies, sardines, other small fishes, crustaceans and mollusks
Size: Up to 5 ft (1.5 m)
Fun Fact: Halibut are born with both eyes on either side of their head and, as they grow, one eye moves so that as adults have both eyes on one side of their head!
