Discover the wonder of California’s Channel Islands as you join CMA Educators on a birding and photography adventure to Channel Islands National Park. We’ll cruise along the island coast; then go ashore on a naturalist-led hike. Our focus will be to find and photograph the endemic Island Scrub Jay (Aphelocoma insularis) and experience Santa Cruz Island in full bloom! In addition to island wildlife, we will keep our eyes peeled on the crossing for marine mammals and birds!
This trip leaves from Ventura Harbor at 8:30am.
**To get from the boat to the pier on Santa Cruz Island, participants will need to climb a vertical ladder of approximately ten rungs.**
